| ADULT SKATING DID YOU KNOW? Did you know that SIX adult members of Granite State Figure Skating Club competed in April at the 2008 Adult U.S. Figure Skating Nationals?! DONELDA HORNE, MABEL NIEBLING JUDY WILLIAMS, SONJA RASLAVICUS PEGGY ROSEN, SUE CARHART Skating is NOT just for kids! Adult skating is becoming more popular than snow in December! In the US Figure Skating Program, there are just as many opportunities for adults to advance in the sport these days as younger skaters. There is the designated Adult Learn To Skate curriculum, the Adult Moves In The Field and Freestyle Test Track, as well as competitions throughout the region, and the country! Figure Skating is a life-long sport which is both challenging and rewarding, and not to mention a great work-out!
